Julian Mercer

Author
Julian Mercer is an author from San Jacinto, California. He lives with a border collie named Lucky and writes in his spare time, often with an interest in surrealist expression, the unexplained, and what happens when the world goes quiet. BAD TIMES WITH JULIAN MERCER (Abbycat Group & Publishing Brands) was his first public release after catching the attention of novelist and Abbycat founder Jack Chase in early 2026 with FORKS, a short story about an insomniac particle scientist descending into an absurd, compounding paranoia regarding the silverware in his apartment. The tale spawned an additional five stories that Mercer suggested to Chase might be a collection, to which Chase agreed, having already offered to push FORKS through the AGP pipeline. The collection was ultimately published through the Abbycat Liminal imprint, AGP's literary division for the supernatural and fundamentally esoteric, on February 10, 2026.
