THE LITERARY NARRATIVE INDEX ASSOCIATION

“For discerning readers and responsible storytellers.”

Founded by Jack Chase in 2025, trailblazing independent novelist and architect of Abbycat Group™, the Literary Narrative Index Association™ (LNIA) is the official ratings and classification system for contemporary literature. We evaluate narrative works across all genres, ensuring they meet the highest standards of completion, ISBN registration, U.S. copyright, and publication readiness.

WHAT IS THE INDEX?

The Literary Narrative Index Association™—founded by Jack Chase, novelist and creator of Abbycat Group™—is the official ratings body for contemporary literature.

Any completed, published, or soon-to-be-published work—fiction or nonfiction, across all genres—is eligible for evaluation. We verify professional publishing standards (ISBN, U.S. copyright, and readiness for release) and assign authoritative classifications recognized across the industry.

Our mission: to protect the integrity of narrative art, elevate works of merit, and provide readers, authors, and publishers with a trusted benchmark for literary quality.

EVALUATION PILLARS

Narrative Architecture
Does the structure, pacing, and design serve the story with unshakable precision?

Emotional Transference
Does the work stay in your bones? Does it haunt, comfort, or ignite something unforgettable?

Cultural Resonance
Does it contribute meaningfully to the conversation? Challenge its era? Outlast it?

Authorial Voice
Can you hear the fingerprint—a signature no one else could forge?

THE RATING SYSTEM

Every work in the LNIA receives an internal designation out of four (4) possible ratings from our proprietary scale for the purpose of reflecting narrative weight and maturity.

WHY THIS MATTERS

In an era overrun by SEO fiction, algorithm-fed sludge, and lowest-common-denominator publishing, the Literary Narrative Index Association™ (LNIA) stands as a long overdue bulwark for quality, accountability, and the enduring value of serious storytelling.

It exists to keep authors accountable to professional standards and to filter out the tidal wave of unvetted erotica, extremist propaganda, and disposable trend-chasing that drowns the marketplace. The LNIA protects readers, elevates the best, and ensures literature worthy of the name doesn’t get lost in the noise.
